Product Information

Key Features

  • Five single-phase models from 1 to 3 HP — 200 to 600 LPM at 10 m head — plus a 4 HP three-phase TurboFlo 400 available on request
  • No strainer basket and not self-priming: the TurboFlo is built for medium to high pressure recirculation where the suction is flooded and straining is done upstream
  • Holds flow at pressure better than the Supastream — 600 LPM at 10 m head on the TurboFlo 300 against 263 LPM at the same head on a Supastream 150
  • Flexible outlet assembly sets to five different orientations, so the pump suits the pipework as built rather than the other way round
  • 50 mm slip inlet and outlet on quick-connect barrel unions for UPVC pipe
  • Single-piece moulded volute in glass-filled thermoplastic, with impeller and diffuser in glass-filled Noryl
  • Carbon/graphite mechanical seal with 316 stainless spring, IP55 fan-cooled motor with 431 stainless shaft and thermal overload; optional sea water mechanical seal (SKU SWMSHS-2) for saltwater duty
  • To size it, work out your required flow and your total head, including pipe friction and any filter or UV losses, then pick the model that meets that flow at that head

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I choose the right pump?
Work out your required flow and your total head, including pipe friction and any filter or UV losses, then pick the model that meets that flow at that head – a flow figure without a head figure does not size a pump.
Is the TurboFlo self-priming?
No – Waterco lists it for applications where a self-priming pump or strainer basket is not required, so it needs a flooded suction and straining upstream; use a Hydrostorm or Hydrostar Plus if you need self-priming.
Is it single phase or three phase?
The 100 to 300 models are single phase, 220-240 V; there is also a 4 HP three-phase TurboFlo 400 at 380-420 V that is not currently listed on this page, so ask us for it.
Does it suit salt water?
Yes, with the optional sea water mechanical seal (SKU SWMSHS-2); the standard seal is carbon/graphite with a 316 stainless spring assembly.
What does the adjustable wet end do?
The outlet assembly can be set to five different orientations, so the pump fits the pipework as built instead of forcing extra bends and extra friction head.
Only one duty point is listed - what about the rest of the curve?
Waterco publishes the TurboFlo performance as a flow curve rather than a table, so we quote the 10 m head figure here; send us your duty point and we will read the curve for you.
Where does TurboFlo sit in the Waterco range?
Mid range and pressure-biased: similar flows to the Hydrostorm but aimed at medium to high pressure duties, above Supastream and below Hydrostar Plus.
