Work out your required flow and your total head, including pipe friction and any filter or UV losses, then pick the model that meets that flow at that head – a flow figure without a head figure does not size a pump.

Plus is the larger end of the same range: 2.5 and 3 HP, a 2.25 litre strainer basket instead of 2.1 litre, and 65 mm ports on the Plus 300.

Waterco does not publish a suction lift figure for the Hydrostorm, so we size it on flooded suction by default – tell us your suction arrangement and we will confirm it.

Flatter than the Supastream – the Hydrostorm Plus 250 holds 490 LPM at 5 m head, 470 LPM at 8 m and 440 LPM at 10 m, so it copes better with a system that gains head over time as filters load.
