How long does a test take?
One filled disk runs its whole series of tests automatically and reports every result in about 60 seconds.
Are reagent disks included with the photometer?
No. Disks are sold separately so they can be matched to your water type. A calibration check disk is supplied with the meter.
Which disk do I use for brackish water?
For samples between 10 and 20 ppt salinity, use the saltwater FX203 disk with the Brackish Tablet Package (code 3865-PKG). Magnesium is not reported on brackish samples.
What is the difference between the bench and mobile versions?
The instrument is the same. The mobile version is supplied in a waterproof carrying case with foam inserts that holds the meter and its accessories for testing away from the lab.
Which parameters does each aquaculture disk cover?
The freshwater FX104 disk reads alkalinity, ammonia, hardness, nitrate, nitrite, pH and phosphate. The saltwater FX203 disk replaces hardness with calcium and magnesium and reads nitrate over a lower range.
What is supplied with the photometer?
The photometer, a calibration check disk, three syringes, a USB cord, the instruction manual and quick-start instructions. The mobile version also includes a waterproof carrying case with foam inserts that holds the meter and accessories.
