FBD does not publish a biomass or stocking density for these systems, because capacity depends entirely on species and water temperature — we size it against your species at quotation.

500 L tank, FBD filter sump with 100 µm bag filters, MBBR with C1 bio media and air diffusers, UV sterilizer, recirculation pump, aeration with backup power, heater/chiller, carbon intake cartridge filter and a water quality test kit.

Q: What do I need to supply on site?

A level footprint, mains power and a water supply — send us your available space and power and the system is designed to suit.

Q: Can it run salt water?

Yes — each system is built for either fresh water or salt water and that is specified at design stage.

Q: Can I expand to a larger system later?

FBD builds the same design at 500 L, 1,000 L, 2,000 L and 5,000 L — tell us before you order if you expect to grow, so the filtration and pipework suit the larger size.
