Mazzei Venturi

Mazzei Venturi injectors are differential pressure injectors with internal mixing vanes and no moving parts, drawing oxygen, ozone, air or liquid chemicals into a pressurised water line. The patented design starts suction once the outlet pressure is only 20% below the inlet pressure on most models, and the thousands of micro bubbles it creates give very high gas transfer. Five bodies are stocked, from 20 mm up to 3in BSPT.

What water flow and pressure drop do I need?
Size on motive water flow through the injector and the inlet-to-outlet pressure drop — most models begin drawing gas once the outlet pressure is at least 20% below the inlet pressure, so tell us your pump flow and available differential and we will confirm the model and its flow range.
Can it inject oxygen or ozone?
Yes — it is used for oxygen, ozone, air, carbon dioxide and liquid chemicals, and the micro bubbles it creates greatly increase the gas-to-liquid contact area.
How do I choose between the five models?
Match the injector to your motive water flow at the available pressure drop, then check that the inlet, outlet and suction connections suit your pipework.
Why does it need a pressure drop at all?
It is a differential pressure injector — the drop across the venturi is what creates the vacuum that draws gas in through the suction port.
Does it have any moving parts?
No — there are no moving parts, which is why the injectors are effectively trouble-free in service.
What suction connections are available?
6 mm and 12 mm barbed or MNPT threaded ports on the smaller bodies, a 32 mm MNPT port on the 2081A, and dual 1.5″ male BSPT ports on the 3090.
Why are micro bubbles better than large bubbles?
Many micro bubbles carry far more surface area than one large bubble of the same volume, so gas transfers into the water much more efficiently.
