How do I choose the right size?

Measure the barb or fitting on your equipment and match it to the ID, then check the OD clears your clamp and the working pressure for that bore covers your pump discharge.

Is it sold per metre or per roll?

Per roll only — 30 m coils in 6 mm to 32 mm, and 15 m coils in 40 mm and 50 mm.

Is it suitable for ozone or pure oxygen?

No. Ozone attacks PVC and this tubing is not rated for oxygen service — use Tygon Ozone Tubing for ozone and Mako Red Multipurpose Oxygen Hose for oxygen.

Is it food-grade or safe for potable water?

Yes — it is manufactured from non-toxic, food-grade vinyl and is used for potable water, air and food-contact transfer.

Will it survive outdoors in the sun?

It is best run indoors or under cover; prolonged UV exposure will yellow and embrittle clear vinyl, so lag or shade any exposed runs.

Can I use it on a pump suction line?

No — it is unreinforced and will collapse under vacuum. Use a reinforced hose such as Mako Clear PVC Tubing on suction.

What is the difference between this and Mako Clear PVC Tubing?

This vinyl tubing is unreinforced and flexible for low-pressure work; the Mako Clear PVC Tubing is reinforced with polyester yarn for higher-duty air and water transfer.
