Fresh By Design completed a recirculating aquaculture system (RAS) at Rockhampton State High School’s new Aquaculture Centre. The system is used to grow barramundi and to educate students about recirculating aquaculture systems. The scope included intake water treatment, 6 x 9000 L Polymaster Group tanks, a FAIVRE Industrie-Environnement drum filter, in-ground concrete sumps with FRP covers, MAT-KULING MBBR biofilters, degassers, ozone system, oxygen contactors and UV steriliser, Waterco pumps, GRUNDFOS VFDs, an OxyGuard International water quality monitoring system, an emergency oxygen system, an Arvo-Tec auto feeding system and Oasis heat pumps.
