How do I choose the right size?
Measure the barb or fitting on your equipment and match it to the ID, then check the working pressure rating covers your pump discharge; ask us for the outside diameter before ordering clamps, as it is not published.
Is it sold per metre or per roll?
Per roll only — every size from 6 mm to 50 mm is supplied as a complete 20 m roll.
Is it suitable for ozone or pure oxygen?
No. Ozone attacks PVC and this tubing carries no oxygen service rating — use Tygon Ozone Tubing for ozone and Mako Red Multipurpose Oxygen Hose for oxygen.
Is it food-grade or safe for potable water?
Yes — it is manufactured from non-toxic, food-grade PVC and is used for potable water, air and food-contact transfer.
Will it survive outdoors in the sun?
It is rated for indoor and outdoor use from -5°C to 60°C, but prolonged UV will yellow and embrittle clear PVC, so shade or lag long exposed runs.
What is the difference between this and Mako Clear Vinyl Tubing?
This PVC tubing is reinforced with polyester yarn for higher-duty air and water transfer; the vinyl tubing is unreinforced and softer, for low-pressure gravity, drain and dosing lines.
What is the working pressure rating?
A working pressure is not published for this range. Contact us with your duty before committing it to a pump discharge line.
