Key Features

  • New Zealand built by Oasis, who have been manufacturing and supplying heat pumps for over 30 years
  • Reverse-cycle: each unit both heats and chills, and the two capacities differ — the SCI-18 is 35 kW heating but 18 kW chilling — so size on whichever duty drives your system
  • Chills down to 2 °C even at 40 °C ambient, with the variable-speed condenser fan tested to 52 °C ambient
  • Inverter variable-speed compressor with accurate EEV refrigerant control; soft-starting EC motors and inverter compressors avoid high inrush current
  • Head-pressure control compensates for outdoor ambient temperatures below 20 °C on the cooling cycle
  • Epoxy-coated fin coils and a galvanised steel cabinet, polyester powder coated to IP44 — built for salt-laden coastal air
  • UC8 controller, BMS compatible via digital and analogue signals or Modbus, with multi-unit control possible
  • Note that the published heat and chill capacities are not quoted against a stated air and water temperature, so treat them as nominal. To size a unit, work from your water volume, the temperature lift (or pull-down) you need at your site’s design ambient, and your system turnover — send those to Fresh By Design and we’ll run a heat-loss calculation and confirm capacity at your actual conditions before you commit.

Yes, every model does both — and the two capacities differ, so the SCI-18 is rated 35 kW heating and 18 kW chilling.
What air and water temperature are the capacities quoted at?
The supplier does not publish a reference condition for these figures, so treat them as nominal and ask us to confirm capacity at your site conditions.
How cold can they take the water?
Down to 2 °C, and the range holds that performance at ambient temperatures up to 40 °C.
