Q: How do I choose the right size?

Multiply your daily feed demand by the number of days you want between refills: 20 L holds about 14 kg of feed, 50 L about 35 kg and 100 L about 70 kg.

Q: Threaded or slip — which fitting do I need?

Threaded suits Arvo-Tec feeders and slip suits FIAP feeders. If you are not sure, tell us the feeder make and model and we will match the fitting for you.

Q: What does the hopper mount to?

It sits above and feeds into the feeder unit below. The FIAP Solar Feeder and the FIAP Pendulum Feeder can both be bought with a hopper included. Contact us about feeder mounting brackets.

Q: What pellet size will it take?

The hopper is a reservoir and does not set the pellet limit — that comes from the feeder underneath it. The FIAP Solar Feeder handles 1 to 10 mm and the FIAP Pendulum Feeder 2 to 10 mm.

Q: Can I buy the hopper on its own?

Yes. All six capacity and fitting combinations are sold individually, and hoppers are also offered bundled with FIAP feeders.
