What dose rate does AQUI-S use?
Most applications use 15 to 20 mg/L in an immersion bath. Lower rates give light sedation and higher rates give a faster response.
How much do I need for my bath?
Multiply your bath volume in litres by the dose rate in mg/L, which works out at 15 to 20 grams per cubic metre, then divide by the 1 litre pack size.
Is there a withholding period?
No. AQUI-S is approved in Australia, New Zealand, Chile, Korea, Costa Rica and Honduras with a zero withholding period.
How long does it take to work?
Well rested mature salmon show loss of equilibrium after 5 to 8 minutes at 17 mg/L, and most husbandry practices can be carried out after 12 to 15 minutes of exposure.
Can it be used in seawater?
Yes. AQUI-S dilutes directly in either seawater or fresh water and does not require hazardous solvents.
Does the dose rate change between species?
Yes. Response depends on the species, age, level of fatigue, condition of the animals and environmental factors, so always follow the registered label for the species you are treating.
