VAKI Smart Grader

The VAKI Smart Grader grades live fish accurately while keeping the impact on the fish low, spreading them across every track with a full-width dewatering inlet. Micro, Macro and Exel models handle fish 5 to 55 mm thick at 1,000 to 8,000 kg an hour. Grade openings are set electronically from the panel, remotely from a smart device, or automatically from a VAKI Counter.

Product Information

Key Features

  • Three models — Micro, Macro and Exel — covering everything from small fingerlings up to around 2 kg salmon
  • Full-width dewatering inlet spreads the fish evenly across the machine so every grading track earns its keep
  • Live grading over precision rollers, laser-welded and balanced on specialised equipment to hold grade accuracy
  • Grade openings set by electric linear actuators — from the on-board panel, remotely from a smart device, or automatically from a VAKI Counter
  • Digital display shows the size opening for each grade, and roller speed is trimmed on a frequency controller
  • Sorting unit inclination adjustable from 5 to 10°, electrically on Macro and Exel or manually on Micro
  • Built in 316L stainless steel and corrosion-resistant plastics, with outlets that discharge either side and unclip for cleaning
  • Sizing: grades fish 5–55 mm thick (5–500 g salmon on Micro and Macro, up to 2 kg on Exel) at 1,000–4,000 kg/h for Micro and 2,000–8,000 kg/h for Macro

Frequently Asked Questions

Which Smart Grader do I need?
Size on throughput and fish size: Micro (5 tracks) does 1,000–4,000 kg/h of 5–500 g salmon, Macro (10 tracks) 2,000–8,000 kg/h of the same range, and Exel (7 tracks, 80 mm rollers) takes salmon up to 2 kg.
What fish sizes will it grade?
Micro and Macro grade fish 5 to 55 mm thick, a recommended 5 to 500 g for salmon; the Exel is recommended up to 2 kg.
How accurate is the grading?
The rollers are machined with high-precision laser welding tools and balanced on specialised equipment, which is what delivers accurate grading, and the digital display shows the exact opening set for each grade.
How are the grade settings adjusted?
Electric linear actuators set the openings, controlled from the on-board panel, remotely from a smart device, or automatically from a VAKI Counter that counts, measures size and calculates the split.
Can the grader be tilted?
Yes — main sorting unit inclination adjusts from 5 to 10°, electrically on Macro and Exel or manually on Micro.
What is it built from?
High-grade 316L stainless steel and selected plastics that are corrosion and water resistant.
Does it connect to other VAKI equipment?
Yes — it connects to VAKI Smart Flow and VAKI Cloud, and can be driven automatically from a VAKI Counter.
